The 2nd Open Innovation Workshop for the GREENE 4.0 project took place at the Kufstein University in mid-February 2024. The event attracted key players from the field of innovation, including representatives from the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, the Inncubator and the Kitzbühel Innovation Network.

The first workshop in November 2023, which took place online, focused on creating a SWOT analysis of the region's innovation ecosystem. The participants also discussed which potential companies should be included in the Open Innovation Map. The organizers, Prof. (FH) DDr. Mario Situm, MBA and Selina-Maria Schiller, MSc of the Kufstein University were very pleased that the second Open Innovation Workshop took place on site in Kufstein.

The highlight of the workshop were two brainstorming sessions in which the participants actively developed ideas for the digital Open Innovation Map. In the first session, they focused on what functions are needed for the map as a whole, while the second session focused on the needs of Solution Seekers and Solution Providers. The lively discussions and creative ideas underline the participants' commitment to the GREENE 4.0 project and its future development. The desired functions of the GREENE 4.0 platform relate to communication and interaction, user experience and design, content and information, functionality and features as well as management and strategy.

The results of this workshop will make a significant contribution to the design of the GREENE 4.0 platform and are crucial to the success of the project. Each project partner from the seven different project countries has organized an Open Innovation Workshop in their region. All results will be discussed with the other project partners during the annual partner meeting and the Transnational Peer Review Seminar on March 26 and 27, 2024 in Bergamo, Italy.
