The 8a class at BRG Adolf-Pichler-Platz Innsbruck is delighted to receive the 2025 School-Leaving Certificate Award and the symbolic check for €3,000.
Beaming faces, proud teachers, and a check for €3,000—that sums up this year's presentation of the Matura Award to class 8a at the Adolf-Pichler-Platz Federal Realgymnasium in Innsbruck.
On July 1, 2025, the big day arrived: Lena Streli, BA, Events | External Customer Relationship Expert at the Kufstein Uni, personally presented the prize in the media room of the Bundesrealgymnasium. Welcomed by Director Thomas Wagner and the newly qualified school-leavers, the occasion was a special moment for the whole class. Regardless of the prize, all the students had successfully passed their school-leaving certificates – so there were two reasons to celebrate.
AWARD FOR TEAMWORK AND COMMITMENT
After a concise presentation of the courses offered by the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences, Lena Streli presented the symbolic check. The 8a class was thrilled – not only about the prize money, but also about the opportunity to achieve something together by participating in the competition.
I AM PARTICULARLY PLEASED THAT THIS INITIATIVE BY THE FH KUFSTEIN TIROL ENABLES US TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO A Matura OR ABITUR CLASS ONCE A YEAR.

The prize money will be used as a subsidy for the upcoming graduation trip to Italy – specifically for joint activities there.
AWARD WITH TRADITION – SUPPORTED BY SPARKASSE KUFSTEIN
The FH Kufstein Tirol school-leaving certificate award competition, supported by Sparkasse Kufstein, took place for the 25th time this year and is enjoying growing popularity. Almost 700 students from 62 schools in Austria, Bavaria, and South Tyrol took part this time – including class 8a from Innsbruck, whose name was ultimately drawn at random.
Here's how it works: Only students in their final year of school or preparing for their school-leaving certificate are eligible to participate. The prize money of €3,000 can only be won by the entire class. To be entered into the prize draw, eight questions about degree programs at the FH Kufstein Tirol must be answered correctly. The answers can be found on the higher education institution's website – so a little research is required. Teamwork pays off: the more students from a class take part, the higher the chance of winning. The winning class will then be selected at random.
In the future, the competition will continue to support Matura- or Abitur-classes in organizing their graduation trips with the support of Sparkasse Kufstein.
The Kufstein Uni congratulates class 8a on their win and wishes them: Buon viaggio and all the best for the next stage of your lives!
