In May 2025, five students from the fourth semester of the Bachelor's degree program in Leadership & Business Management took part in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) Intercultural Studies at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at the University of Hradec Králové (UHK) in the Czech Republic. The program lasted the entire month and combined three preparatory online units with a one-week on-site stay. The students were actively involved in the intercultural exchange and gained exciting insights into the culture and economy of the Czech Republic.

INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING AND INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGEh

A total of 22 students from various countries took part. In addition to Austria, Poland and Romania were also represented, complemented by other international participants. The intercultural dialogue was intensified by presentations about the countries of origin, in which cultural differences and traditions were discussed. A special highlight was a lecture on intercultural business communication.

Participation in the BIP was particularly enriching for the students of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol because they were able to take on responsibility, actively participate and gain international experience. It was the combination of personal commitment and openness towards other cultures that made the program so valuable. As a result, the participants not only developed their professional skills, but also their social and intercultural competences.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

A varied supporting programme rounded off the week in Hradec Králové. Excursions to Prague and Kutná Hora gave the students vivid impressions of Czech history and culture. A company visit also provided practical insights into the local economy. The opportunity to experience the country off the beaten tourist track was particularly impressive - a change of perspective that left a lasting impression on all participants.
