The GREENE 4.0 team from the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences in Tyrol successfully participated as a partner in the 7th International Conference on Technologies and Business Models in the Circular Economy (TBMCE) in Portorož, Slovenia. The three-day event, which took place from September 4 to 6, 2024, attracted more than 150 innovators, researchers, decision-makers, and corporate representatives and provided a platform for in-depth discussion on the topic of the circular economy.
As part of the diverse program, organizers held, among other things, an opening roundtable, six expert panels, 40 poster presentations, 21 scientific presentations, and two interactive workshops. These event formats facilitated in-depth discussions about the challenges and opportunities involved in the transition to a circular economy.
INTRODUCTION TO THE USER ACCEPTANCE MODEL
The GREENE 4.0 team from the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences in Tyrol attended the conference alongside the other eight GREENE 4.0 partners and the B2GreenHub, and took the opportunity to present the User Acceptance Model developed over the past 1.5 years. In addition, a detailed presentation on the B2GreenHub was given.
The conference also provided the ideal setting to hold the official 6-month GREENE 4.0 partner meeting. Past and future work packages were discussed, tasks were assigned, and new goals were set. As part of a co-creation process, the official B2GreenHub platform was presented to and tested by the partners. Key features and functions of the platform were discussed and further developed.
DESIGN THINKING CAMPS FOR THE SECOND WORK PACKAGE
In addition, three Design Thinking Camps were held, focusing on the second work package. During these sessions, participants collaborated to determine which tools would be best suited for incorporating guidelines on the green transition, establishing an expert forum, and generating business models—all with the aim of providing added value to the companies and ensuring the success of the project and the platform.
The insights and ideas generated during the conference and partner meeting provide a solid foundation for the upcoming project phases. Over the next few months, the GREENE 4.0 team will continue to work toward achieving the set goals and further develop the platform in collaboration with the partners to facilitate companies’ transition to green and digital production and to promote sustainable innovation.
