As part of the INTERREG CE project GREENE 4.0, which promotes the digital and green transformation of companies in cross-border regions, the project partners met again at the end of March 2025.

On March 26-27, 2025, the fifth partner meeting of the INTERREG CE project GREENE 4.0 took place at the Krakow Technology Park. The aim of the transnational meeting was to reflect on the progress of the project work to date, to set new impulses for the last project phase and to further strengthen the cooperation between the partner organizations.

The GREENE 4.0 project promotes green and digital transformation in industry – particularly in cross-border regions. The focus is on innovative tools and a platform that serves as a space for cooperation between manufacturing companies, technology providers and experts.

CO-CREATION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL

The two-day event brought together around 20 representatives from seven European countries and nine organizations. The FH Kufstein Tirol was represented by the project team led by Selina-Maria Schiller, MSc and Dipl.-Kfm. Karin Steiner.

A particular highlight was the Transnational Design Thinking Camp, which served as a concluding co-creation workshop for the innovation tools developed in the project – including the Business Model Generator, the Private Equity Investment Readiness Tool and the Green Transition Tool. These tools are designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to further develop their innovative strength in a targeted manner. The Green Transition Tool aims to support SMEs in developing a specific and practical sustainability strategy.

During the camp, not only the contents of the tools were discussed, but also their integration into the digital platform B2GreenHub was presented – the future central place for knowledge exchange and collaboration within the GREENE 4.0 community. “Such on-site meetings are important to sharpen common goals and ensure that all partners are working in the same direction,” said Selina-Maria Schiller from the Kufstein Uni.

During the meeting, the lead partner of GREENE 4.0, Pomurje Technology Park from Slovenia, presented the current state of the B2GreenHub platform. In interactive brainstorming sessions, the partners analyzed the platform structure and developed concrete suggestions for its improvement in the next development phase.

NEXT STEPS: TEST PHASE & MATCHMAKING

With the final project phase in mind, intensive testing of the developed innovation programs is now on the agenda. In addition, pilot matchmaking is starting between manufacturing companies – that want to develop digitally and sustainably – and suitable solution providers such as technology companies or specialist consultants.
