Practical work: As part of the project, students at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol developed a social media presence for their degree program.
Students in the part-time master’s program in Sports, Culture, and Event Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol took over management of their program’s Instagram channel during the 2025 - 2026 winter semester.
During the 2025/26 winter semester, a five-member team from the part-time Master’s program in Sports, Culture and Event Management took over management of the program’s Instagram channel. The goal of this practical project was to present the program to the outside world in an authentic and contemporary way.
To achieve this, the students developed a structured content plan, independently produced posts, Reels, and Stories, and tailored the content, visual style, and posting schedule specifically to their community. With great dedication and an understanding of their field, they created a diverse social media presence that offers insights into the program and highlights the department’s diversity.
THESE GLIMPSES INTO THE CURRICULUM, PROJECTS, AND DAILY UNIVERSITY LIFE SHOW WHAT MAKES THE SPORTS, CULTURE, AND EVENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM UNIQUE AND WHAT OPPORTUNITIES IT OFFERS STUDENTS.

A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES
To begin with, the team established a clear structure for their collaboration, defined specific roles, and assigned responsibilities. Building on this foundation, they created posts, Stories, and Reels - from graphic design and writing captions to coordinating with potential partners and collaborating with them. Step by step, a well-thought-out online presence took shape, driven by shared ideas and a great deal of initiative.
“The insights into the curriculum, projects, and everyday university life show what makes the Sports, Culture, and Event Management program unique and what opportunities it offers students,” says Hannah, a member of the practical project team.
The focus was on a cohesive feed that offers insights into student life and highlights its diversity: stories from everyday campus life, project reports, and content that students at FH Kufstein Tirol, alumni, and prospective students alike can relate to.
CONTENT AND PROGRESS
The team posted articles, Stories, and Reels that were deliberately designed to reflect everyday student life. The focus was on topics and formats that students at FH Kufstein Tirol could relate to - inspired by current media as well as campus projects and events.
For the visual design, the students worked with Canva and also used artificial intelligence to quickly develop ideas and professionally format content. At the same time, they gained a thorough understanding of the legal framework: through training sessions on data protection and social media, they acquired the necessary knowledge to manage the channel safely and creatively.
As a result, the practical project became a valuable experience that helped strengthen digital skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility in equal measure.
