Short distances, a student environment and diverse leisure opportunities: MKM student Milon Menzel shows why Kufstein offers attractive living conditions for students – and what matters when looking for accommodation.

Milon Menzel from Stuttgart studies Marketing & Communications Management at HOK | University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and lives in a centrally located three-person shared apartment on the lower town square in Kufstein. For him, the living situation offers ideal conditions for efficiently combining his studies, leisure time, and social interaction.

CENTRAL LIVING, FLEXIBLE STUDYING

"The location is a huge advantage; the HOK is less than a five-minute walk away," explains Menzel. The short distances allow him to flexibly switch between lectures, study sessions, and leisure activities. Student life also benefits from the central location: cafés, the library, and shops are in the immediate vicinity, and spontaneous get-togethers or group projects can be easily organized.

QUICK START IN A NEW SURROUNDINGS

Settling into life in Kufstein was easy for Menzel, partly because friends were already studying there. This allowed him to quickly make friends and get his bearings in his new daily routine.

The central location supports Milon's flexible study routine.

He organized his apartment independently but received valuable support from a former resident of the shared flat, who provided helpful information about living in Kufstein.

STUDY AND LEISURE IDEALLY COMBINED

In addition to the advantages for his daily student life, Menzel particularly appreciates the high quality of leisure activities: Lake Hechtsee is just a few minutes away, and the Wilder Kaiser ski resort can be reached in about 20 minutes. "The central location gives me the freedom to organize my studies efficiently while also being active," says Menzel. The combination of an urban environment, good infrastructure, and a natural setting creates a well-balanced lifestyle for many students.

CHECK HOUSING OPTIONS EARLY

Besides private shared flats, the HOK student residences also offer attractive options near the university. Menzel especially recommends that new students start looking for accommodation early: "Many students go on a semester abroad, which regularly frees up apartments."

His advice: Use your network, make contacts early, and strategically utilize social media to find suitable accommodation.

CONCLUSION

Kufstein offers students not only short commutes to the university but also an environment that optimally combines studies, leisure time, and social networking. Those who plan ahead and keep an eye on centrally located properties can particularly benefit from the diverse opportunities.
