Event team: Yannick Mayer, Marc Dittebrand, Melina Morgenschweis, Viktoria Pessl, Léon Becker, and Michael Sichlinger invited guests to the PilatesxMatcha event.

In mid-December 2025, exercise, mindfulness, and sustainability were the focus of the Afterwork Pilates x Matcha practical project of the full-time bachelor's degree program in Sports, Culture, and Event Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.

On 11 December 2025, students from the full-time bachelor's degree programme in Sports, Culture & Event Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol organised the practical project Afterwork Pilates x Matcha. The aim of the event was to combine exercise, mindfulness and sustainability and to offer participants a conscious balance to their pre-Christmas everyday lives. Around 60 people accepted the invitation, and the evening turned into an atmospheric, thoroughly successful gathering full of exercise, relaxation, and good cheer.

The program included two Pilates sessions and one yoga session, offering participants space for activity as well as conscious relaxation. As a certified Green Event, Afterwork Pilates x Matcha placed particular emphasis on environmental awareness and resource conservation. The focus was on using regional products, avoiding disposable materials, and implementing a sustainable catering concept.

Program with a focus on mindfulness and community

The event began at half past five in the evening with a warm welcome and light refreshments. The guests, comfortably dressed in sportswear, made use of the equipment provided and got themselves in the right frame of mind for the activities ahead.

This was followed by three coordinated exercise sessions - full-body Pilates, power core Pilates, and full-body yoga - led by two qualified trainers. Each session was well attended and offered a balanced combination of physical activity and relaxation.

With this event, the students wanted to demonstrate that sustainable events create space for movement, encounters, and new trends, while also offering the opportunity to arrive, switch off, and consciously take time for oneself, explained project manager Melina Morgenschweis on behalf of the organizing team. The numerous positive responses from participants confirmed the success of the concept and its successful implementation.
