The partners of the INTERREG Central Europe project GREENE 4.0 met on August 27 and 28 at the Technology and Start-up Center in Bautzen to plan the next steps in the final phase of the project.
On August 27 and 28, the sixth project meeting of the GREENE 4.0 consortium took place in Bautzen, Saxony. The event was hosted by the Bautzen Technology and Start-up Center, which provided participants from seven European regions with a platform for intensive exchange. The aim of the meeting was to deepen cooperation, share experiences, and jointly shape the final project phase.
GREENE 4.0: Green and digital transformation for industry
The GREENE 4.0 project aims to advance the green and digital transformation in the manufacturing industry in Central Europe, especially in cross-border regions. To this end, the consortium is developing the B2GreenHub, a platform that facilitates access to smart and sustainable technologies for manufacturing companies, SMEs, start-ups, and experts. In addition to training programs and assessment tools, pilot projects are being developed in which new products and business models are tested jointly. Nine partner organizations from seven countries are working closely together to achieve this.

Setting the course for the final project phase of GREENE 4.0
During the two-day meeting, the partner organizations took the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the project. The focus was on the current version of the B2GreenHub platform, tailor-made support services for companies participating in the GREENE Innovation Contest, and strategies for targeted communication with potential users.
Particular attention was paid to the further development of new value chains and the optimization of pilot programs in order to sustainably promote the innovation and transformation processes of the participating companies.
“The B2GreenHub platform is a crucial tool for supporting companies in their transformation process. Our goal is to make green and digital innovations tangible and to strengthen the transfer of knowledge between regions in a sustainable manner,” explains Selina-Maria Schiller, project manager of GREENE 4.0.
In addition to technical discussions, there was also plenty of cultural exchange: during a guided tour of Bautzen, participants gained exciting insights into the history and culture of the city and region.
The meeting once again highlighted the importance of continuous exchange and close cooperation within the international network. With the successful meeting in Bautzen, GREENE 4.0 is one step closer to its goals: promoting green and digital transformation in the manufacturing industry. The B2GreenHub platform will be launched shortly. The project is now in its final funding period and is scheduled for completion in February 2026.
