Professorship (FH) in Software Development & Artificial Intelligence (m/f/d)

Travel expenses incurred in connection with the application will not be reimbursed.

You will teach and research the field of Software Development & Artificial Intelligence in German and English at the bachelor's and master's levels. Through your connections with professional associations, you will strengthen the program's ties to industry. You combine solid software engineering fundamentals with the practical application of AI.
You will design and lead courses in German and English using innovative, competency-based teaching methods. You will teach students how to build AI-based applications in a practical way and how to use AI professionally throughout the development process.
You will initiate and lead research projects with companies and industry partners, develop your own areas of focus, and promote knowledge transfer between the university and the business world.
You will take an active role in university governance and shared academic administration. You will work in the program's interdisciplinary team to shape curriculum development and deliver forward-looking education.

You hold a completed diploma or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, business informatics, or a comparable field.
A doctorate or equivalent proof of scholarly qualification is preferred.
You bring pedagogical and didactic skills and are willing to develop them further so you can present course content in a practical and engaging way.
You have professional experience in software development and expertise in applying AI methods and tools.
Peer-reviewed or professional publications in your field, beyond student theses, are preferred.
