Accessibility Statement
Legal Basis and Scope
The HOK | University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, WZG), as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.hok.ac.at, as well as the subdomains restrukturierung.hok.ac.at, entrepreneurship.hok.ac.at, kubi.tirol, and the internal portal my.hok.ac.at.
Status of Compliance with the Requirements
The compliance of this website with accessibility requirements has not yet been conclusively assessed. A comprehensive external audit is planned for 2027. This statement will be updated once the audit results are available, including a specific conformity rating and a detailed list of deficiencies.
The forthcoming audit will be based on conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1" and the applicable European standard EN 301 549.
Content That Is Not Accessible
At this point, we provide a preliminary assessment of the areas likely to be affected:
-
Older PDF and Office documents (e.g., study and examination regulations, forms, publications) that have not yet been consistently tagged prior to revision
- Images and graphics: As a general rule, HOK consistently provides alternative text for editorial images; logos are excluded from this, as they are decorative or recurring brand elements. Occasional missing alternative text on other images is considered an oversight and will be identified and corrected in the course of the audit.
- Video and audio content (e.g., recordings of events, promotional videos) for which captions or audio description are not consistently available
- Embedded third-party content (e.g., map services, application and registration tools, social media integrations), the accessibility of which is beyond HOK's sphere of influence
The full review will take place as part of the audit planned for 2027. Once the audit is complete, the specific deficiencies identified will be listed here by WCAG success criterion, where applicable including a remediation deadline or a justification in cases where remediation would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility provisions.
