Independence in the Digital Age: Why Europe Needs the Digital Euro
The way we pay is changing rapidly: Digital payments are constantly increasing, whether at the checkout or online. At the same time, dependence on just a few payment providers carries risks. The digital euro is Europe's answer to these developments: In addition to cash, the euro, as central bank money, will also be available for digital payments, offering freedom of choice. As the legislative process progresses, you can begin the necessary technical preparations.
