Practical marketing studies with a focus on digitalization, communication, and effective time management in everyday working life.

David Großlercher is pursuing a part-time degree program in Marketing & Communication Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol while working in the youth services and marketing department at Sparkasse Kitzbühel. The degree program’s practical focus, emphasis on digital topics, and clear routines help him succeed both in his degree program and in his career.

David Großlercher has been studying Marketing and Communication Management part-time at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol for five semesters. After the application period ended, he made a conscious decision to pursue a part-time degree program. While he regularly applies course material such as communication strategies and digital applications in his role at Sparkasse Kitzbühel, he is also responsible for the design, supervision, and targeted audience analysis of the Digital City Kitzbühel project as its project manager.

LEARNING IN A PRACTICAL WAY AND APPLYING IT IN YOUR CAREER

During his studies, Großlercher gains insights into communication management, content creation, and target group strategies. “In every subject, there are small details that are easy to underestimate, but which are very useful in everyday working life,” he says.

The focus on digitalization, social media, and artificial intelligence broadens his career opportunities. Working independently with programs and digital tools supports his understanding. “Private engagement with tools and programs is essential for effectively implementing the content,” he emphasizes. In his work at Sparkasse Kitzbühel, he regularly uses course content such as target group analysis, communication strategies, and digital applications.

STRUCTURE, ROUTINES AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Balancing studies, work, and leisure time is a major challenge for Großlercher. Fixed routines and starting projects early make it easier for him to study while working. A supportive work environment and the option to work from home also have a positive effect.

During his studies, he gained important personal insights. He learned to use perfectionism in a targeted manner. His communication skills and demeanor developed further and strengthened him in his everyday work.

He recommends that students choose a suitable profession, actively take advantage of practical projects, and independently deepen their knowledge of the programs. In his experience, studying while working allows for practical learning despite physical distance.

Fazit

The part-time study program helps Großlercher to immediately apply theoretical content in practice while also developing his professional skills. The combination of course content, digital expertise, and a structured approach to work strengthens his professional development.
