Teachers from the International Business Management program enjoy hiking together at the Hinterduxerhof.

The new students of the International Business Programs at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol started their studies with a group hike to the Hinterduxerhof. In a relaxed atmosphere, initial contacts were made and a strong sense of togetherness developed.

With the start of the winter semester, there was a palpable sense of excitement on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. Young people from a wide variety of regions came together, united by their decision to start their academic journey in the field of international business here. Their excitement about starting their studies was mixed with curiosity about new content, encounters, and shared experiences.

Starting the academic journey together

Traditionally, the study group for the International Business programs started with a joint hike. The destination was the Hinterduxerhof above Kufstein – a place that is not only known for its magnificent view, but also offers space for encounters. On the way up, the students got into conversation, exchanged expectations, and found the first points of contact for friendships. “It was a great opportunity to talk to each other outside the lecture hall,” said one bachelor's student. The relaxed atmosphere in nature made it clear that the start of a degree program is more than just the beginning of classes – it also means forming relationships that can carry you through your entire studies.

Many participants spoke of motivation and anticipation. “I'm looking forward to studying in an international environment and getting to know the region around Kufstein at the same time,” said a new master's student. Another participant emphasized, “You can feel the team spirit right away – it's nice to know that we're on this journey together.” Their comments showed how important this kick-off is for the group's identity.
