Learning outcomes of the courses/module
The participants:
• analyze the structure, functions and decision-making procedures of key European institutions in the context of energy- and sustainability-related legislation.
• assess the impact of institutional interactions within the EU on energy and climate policy legal acts and transformation processes.
• interpret international and European legal sources and derive their significance for companies and public organizations in energy & sustainability management.
• examine the role of international institutions and compare their influence with that of the EU on global energy and sustainability governance.

- International agreements relating to energy & sustainability management
- EU legislative and decision-making processes
- Legal acts in the energy and sustainability field
- Governance and compliance, including the implementation of European requirements in companies, oversight by European and national regulatory authorities, and requirements in the area of ESG and sustainability reporting
- Case studies on the influence of European institutions on energy prices, emissions trading, supply chain law and climate litigation before the European Court of Justice
- International agreements relating to energy & sustainability management
- EU legislative and decision-making processes
- Legal acts in the energy and sustainability field
- Governance and compliance, including the implementation of European requirements in companies, oversight by European and national regulatory authorities, and requirements in the area of ESG and sustainability reporting
- Case studies on the influence of European institutions on energy prices, emissions trading, supply chain law and climate litigation before the European Court of Justice
