Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• take on responsibility in a real-world professional environment of energy and sustainability management and apply the knowledge they have acquired in a practice-oriented way.
• analyze and evaluate operational structures, processes and tasks with regard to professional, organizational and economic interrelationships.
• communicate and cooperate professionally in an interdisciplinary work context and help shape tasks independently.
• reflect on personal strengths, areas for development and career prospects.
• further develop their professional attitude, self-management and practical skills.
• analyze workplace-related stress and resource factors at the internship organization and derive suitable strategies for a sustainable work-life balance in everyday working life from them.
• assess diversity dimensions and possible exclusion mechanisms in the workplace and develop practice-oriented approaches for respectful, inclusive collaboration at work.

Prerequisites for the course

all content from semesters 1 to 5

Course content

- Professional practical work in a relevant company or organization
- Application of professional, methodological and social skills in practice, including the use of individual work-life balance strategies and inclusive behavior in the work environment
- Insights into operational processes, project management and decision-making structures
- Reflection on professional profiles, roles and expectations in energy and sustainability management, including engagement with role models, diversity aspects and inclusive collaboration
- Preparation of an internship and reflection report that also documents personal insights into work-life balance and diversity in a real-world work context
