Learning outcomes of the courses/module
The participants:
• work independently on a clearly defined research question from the field of facility management & real estate, applying academic methods.
• plan, structure and carry out an academic project on their own responsibility, complying with professional, temporal and formal requirements.
• correctly apply suitable qualitative, quantitative or conceptual research methods and document their use in a comprehensible manner.
• analyze, interpret and critically discuss the findings obtained in the context of current academic discourse and professional-practice requirements.
• write a coherent academic paper that meets the formal, linguistic and substantive standards of the study program.
• critically and reasonedly reflect on their own research process as well as methodological, ethical and substantive decisions.

Course content
As part of this module, the bachelor's thesis is written independently. Students work on a clearly defined research question on their own responsibility, applying suitable academic methods, systematically evaluate the findings obtained, and document the results in the form of an academic paper in accordance with the formal and substantive standards of the study program.
