Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• create and edit technical 2D drawings and simple 3D models using CAD software.
• structure digital models into layers, components and views in accordance with technical standards.
• correctly apply planning and drawing conventions (e.g. scales, dimensioning, symbols).
• import and export data in common formats and understand their significance for collaboration and building operations.
• interpret CAD plans and derive from them basic building-technology information for facility and real estate management.

Course content

- Fundamentals of computer-aided design and modeling (2D & 3D)
- Operating logic and functions of common CAD software
- Structure, layer organization and management of digital models
- Creation of technical drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations)
- Scales, symbols, dimensioning and drawing layout
- Data management, file formats and interfaces
- Introduction to model-based working
- Visualization and presentation of simple building models
