Learning outcomes of the courses/module
The participants:
• work independently on a clearly defined research question from the field of facility management and real estate, applying scientific methods.
• plan, structure, and carry out an academic project on their own responsibility, in compliance with professional, time-related, and formal requirements.
• correctly apply suitable qualitative, quantitative, or conceptual research methods and document their use comprehensibly.
• analyze, interpret, and critically discuss the results obtained in the context of current academic discourse and the requirements of professional practice.
• write a coherent academic paper that meets the formal, linguistic, and content-related standards of the study program.
• reflect critically and with justification on their own research process as well as on methodological, ethical, and content-related decisions.

Course content
Within this module, students independently prepare their bachelor's thesis. They work autonomously on a clearly defined research question using appropriate scientific methods, systematically evaluate the findings obtained, and document the results in the form of an academic paper that meets the formal and content-related standards of the study program.
