Building Services Engineering - Electrical & Vertical Transportation Systems

Niveau

Introductory & advanced

Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• explain the structure, function, and safety principles of electrical and mechanical transportation systems (elevators, escalators, conveying systems).
• analyze electrical supply systems and building infrastructure in terms of energy efficiency, operational safety, and compliance with standards.
• evaluate the integration of elevator and transport systems into the overall building services (power supply, building control, fire protection, accessibility).
• calculate and dimension basic electrical loads, energy requirements, and cable cross-sections in connection with building distribution systems.
• develop integrative concepts for electrical and transportation systems, taking smart-building, sustainability, and safety aspects into account.
