Building Services Engineering - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Plumbing

Niveau

Introductory & advanced

Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• describe and explain the structure, function, and interaction of building services engineering systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing).
• analyze planning documents and technical diagrams and evaluate their suitability with regard to energy efficiency, comfort, and operational safety.
• calculate basic parameters (heating load, air volumes, water supply) and use them to assess system variants.
• identify and assess interfaces between technical equipment, the building envelope, and user requirements.
• develop simple optimization proposals for building services systems, taking sustainability and cost-effectiveness criteria into account.
