Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• explain the tasks, objectives, and strategies of maintenance across the life cycle of buildings and technical installations.
• analyze maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, condition-based) and evaluate their cost-effectiveness and operational safety.
• plan maintenance and inspection processes, taking legal, regulatory, and operational requirements into account.
• develop concepts for documenting, controlling, and optimizing maintenance activities using digital systems.
• calculate and interpret metrics and life cycle costs for maintenance planning and controlling.

Building Technology, Introduction to Real Estate & Facility Management, Real Estate Development 1

Course content

- Fundamentals and areas of responsibility in maintenance management
- Legal and regulatory foundations
- Maintenance strategies: corrective, preventive, condition-based, predictive
- Maintenance and inspection planning, spare parts and resource management
- Controlling instruments and key indicators
- Life cycle costs, total cost of ownership, life cycle costing
- Digitalization in maintenance
- Interfaces with facility services and energy management
