The participants:
• analyze and compare international best practices in facility & real estate management with regard to sustainability, digitalization, and operational organization.
• evaluate different building concepts, operator strategies, and cultural approaches in the real estate and facility management context.
• reflect on intercultural communication and cooperation processes in a professional environment.
• document and present the findings of the field trip in a structured technical report, applying scientific working methods.
• transfer international perspectives to local challenges in their own professional practice.

all modules from the 1st to the 4th semester
Course content
- Preparation for the study trip: thematic and organizational planning
- Introduction to international facility & real estate management
- Visits to companies, real estate projects, trade fairs, or universities in the destination country
- Expert discussions with practitioners, authorities, developers, or research institutions
- Observation of international management and sustainability strategies
- Intercultural communication and professional conduct in an international context
- Follow-up: presentation of results, reflection, and transfer into the study program
