Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• understand the relationships between the economy, society and politics against the background of individual and organizational responsibility.
• recognize business-ethics questions in practice and discuss them critically.
• can differentiate various approaches to corporate governance.
• are able to reflect on the claims of diverse stakeholders against an ethical background and in terms of aspects of sustainability.

Course content

• Ethics and morality in theory and practice
• Philosophical and intercultural principles of specific moral concepts and value systems
• Discussion of management approaches (e.g. principal-agent theory, shareholder-value approach, etc.) from an ethical perspective
• Triple bottom line (TBL) and the three dimensions of sustainability
• Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and corporate sustainability
• Corporate social responsibility (CSR)
