Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• understand the connections between the economy, society, and politics against the backdrop of individual and organizational responsibility.
• recognize business ethics questions in practice and discuss them critically.
• can differentiate between various approaches to corporate governance.
• are able to reflect on the demands of diverse stakeholders against an ethical backdrop and in terms of sustainability aspects.

Course content

• Ethics and morality in theory and practice
• Philosophical and intercultural principles of specific moral concepts and value systems
• Discussion of management approaches (e.g., principal-agent theory, shareholder value approach, etc.) from an ethical perspective
• Triple Bottom Line (TBL) and the three dimensions of sustainability
• Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Corporate Sustainability
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
