The students
• independently work on a clearly defined research question in the field of business administration, applying scientific methods.
• plan, structure, and carry out an academic project on their own responsibility while adhering to subject-specific, temporal, and formal requirements.
• correctly apply appropriate qualitative, quantitative, or conceptual research methods and document their use in a transparent and comprehensible manner.
• critically analyze, interpret, and discuss the obtained results within the context of current academic discourse and practical professional requirements.
• produce a coherent academic paper that meets the formal, linguistic, and content-related standards of the degree program.
• critically reflect on their own research process as well as on methodological, ethical, and content-related decisions in a reasoned manner.

As part of the course students independently prepare their Bachelor’s thesis on a topic in business. They develop a clearly defined subject area, formulate a central research question, and address it based on relevant theoretical models and current academic literature. In doing so, they apply the subject-specific knowledge and methodological skills acquired during their studies to a specific problem in business and analyze it systematically. Students demonstrate their ability to construct academic arguments, to interpret findings in a reflective manner, and to critically discuss theoretical and practical implications. Furthermore, they plan and structure their work process independently and apply appropriate self-organization and time management strategies throughout the research processess.
