Learning outcomes of the courses/module
The participants:
• can analyze and work on problems from the perspective of sub-disciplines of sports sciences, as well as develop solutions from an integrative perspective by networking with other fields of knowledge.
• develop a fundamental understanding of selected sub-disciplines of sports sciences.
• will be familiar with the physiological structures and processes that are fundamental to the understanding of sporting movement and training and will be aware of the health and sporting consequences of doping and its profound impact on society.
• can understand and explain fundamental concepts and theories (and the corresponding empirical findings) of kinesiology, training science and sports medicine and reflect on them against the background of a later career in the field of sport.
• develop an understanding for the connection of the disciplines among themselves and to other disciplines of sports sciences as well as to cultural and economic disciplines.

Course content
The concepts, theories and findings of movement science, training science and sports medicine are discussed and reflected on against the background of potential occupational fields. The students experience the complex interaction of training science processes and physiological structures and their significance for athletic movements and athletic training.
