The participants:
• analyze fundamental concepts of sustainable development and structure their ecological, social and economic dimensions in simple system models.
• assess basic ecological concepts as well as fundamental mechanisms of climate change and derive from them initial relationships between anthropogenic drivers and systemic changes.
• compare societal and technological transformation processes and develop well-founded assessments of their significance for sustainable development.
• examine resilience principles in ecological, technical and social systems and evaluate fundamental strategies for strengthening adaptability and robustness.
• integrate sustainability, transformation and ecosystem dynamics into an initial, scientifically grounded overall understanding and formulate fundamental conclusions for sustainable courses of action.
