Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• analyze complex subject-specific, methodological and scientific problems in their research field and derive a precise research question together with a theoretical frame of reference.
• develop a robust research design and justify the choice of methods and of data collection and analysis procedures on the basis of scientific quality criteria.
• collect, structure and evaluate empirical data or literature and theory material and synthesise valid scientific findings from them.
• produce a logically structured, linguistically precise and scientifically sound master's thesis and argue the results reflectively with regard to their scientific and practical contribution.
• evaluate the quality, limitations and transferability of their research and formulate recommendations for action as well as approaches for further research.
• present and defend their research work convincingly, in a way that supports discussion and appropriately for the audience within the framework of the final examination.
