Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• analyze and compare international best practices in energy & sustainability management with regard to sustainability, digitalisation and operational organization.
• evaluate different concepts, products and services in the energy & sustainability management context.
• reflect on intercultural communication and cooperation processes in a professional environment.
• document and present the findings of the excursion in a structured technical report using scientific working methods.
• transfer international perspectives to local challenges in their own professional practice.

Prerequisites for the course

all modules from the first to the fourth semester

Course content

- Preparation for the study trip: thematic and organizational planning
- Advanced study of international energy & sustainability management
- Visits to companies, projects, trade fairs or universities in the destination country
- Expert discussions with practitioners, public authorities, project developers or research institutions
- Observation of international management and sustainability strategies
- Intercultural communication and professional conduct in an international context
- Follow-up: presentation of results, reflection and transfer to the study program
