Compendium of Energy Systems & Technologies

Niveau

Introduction

Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• analyze the fundamental structures of modern energy systems (generation–transmission–consumption) and identify key technological and systemic dependencies.
• assess different energy generation technologies with regard to efficiency, sustainability, risks and market readiness.
• compare renewable and conventional energy technologies and derive implications for energy markets, grids and sustainability strategies.
• develop simple, evidence-based lines of reasoning for technology- and system-related decisions in energy & sustainability management.
• reflect on their own knowledge gaps, learning needs and application opportunities relating to technological fundamentals and formulate individual development steps.
