The participants:
• analyze a complex specialist problem area and identify research-relevant gaps as well as theoretical and practical points of reference.
• formulate a precise, testable and theory-based research question at master's level and justify its scientific relevance.
• develop a suitable conceptual approach and structure key concepts, variables and theoretical references for the planned research project.
• assess the feasibility of the research project, taking into account data access, methodology, timeline and ethical framework conditions.
• present their research question and project plan in an audience-appropriate way and reflect on specialist feedback in order to optimize the research design.

- Identification of relevant research fields and derivation of a precise master's thesis research question
- Structuring of theoretical foundations and definition of key concepts and variables
- Development of an initial research design including method selection and feasibility
- Analysis of data and source availability as well as ethical and organizational framework conditions
- Discussion and presentation of the planned master's thesis project
