Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• analyze complex specialist content and prepare it for different target groups in a clear, audience-appropriate and impact-oriented way.
• design professional formats of science communication and evaluate their impact.
• develop compelling storytelling strategies for science-related topics and deploy narrative techniques purposefully in written and oral communication.
• structure data, arguments and specialist content in a media-appropriate way and visualize them using suitable digital tools.
• assess communicative challenges and make well-founded decisions regarding clarity, transparency and ethical responsibility in science communication.

- Fundamentals of professional scientific communication and principles of clear, accessible presentation
- Audience-oriented writing and presenting for expert and non-expert audiences
- Storytelling methods for the structured and narrative preparation of complex content
- Design and analysis of media formats
- Visualization of data and arguments using digital tools
- Communication ethics, transparency and responsibility in conveying science-related topics
