Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• analyze real estate economics interrelationships and structure their significance for the market, use, life cycle and value development.
• systematically classify legal framework conditions and assess their impact on real estate decisions.
• evaluate economic factors and derive their relevance for investment and management processes.
• identify relevant sources of information and interpret these with regard to use, risk and development potential.
• model simple valuation approaches and confidently apply basic calculation methods.
• develop fundamental project development concepts by integrating site, market and potential analyzes.

Prerequisites for the course

Course content

- Property analysis using the land register and cadastre, zoning plans, submission plans and development regulations, as well as area definitions
- Basic knowledge of financial mathematics and real estate metrics
- Fundamentals of construction technology (building materials and structures)
- Basic knowledge of the Austrian Tenancy Act (MRG) and the Condominium Act (WEG)
- Fundamentals of real estate valuation
- Fundamentals of project development
- Fundamentals of building management
