Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• recognize the interactions between the individual, the group and the organization and understand their significance for organizational behavior.
• can identify and classify central topics and theoretical approaches of organizational psychology.
• analyze psychological processes in teams and leadership situations – e.g., motivation, conflicts or group dynamics – and reflect on their effects.
• apply psychological concepts to specific organizational situations, e.g., in the context of human resources or organizational development processes.
• assess the influence of organizational culture on individual and collective performance and derive possible intervention approaches.

Prerequisites for the course

Course content

• Fundamentals of organizational psychology and an overview of central organizational theories
• Psychological perspectives on leadership, teamwork and conflict behavior
• Motivation, job satisfaction and individual performance in organizations
• The influence of organizational climate and organizational culture on behavior and collaboration
• Psychological aspects of change processes (e.g., resistance, acceptance, resilience)
