The participants:
• gain understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes in product development
• able to select appropriate materials for different product applications
• understand how material science influences product design and manufacturing
• explore sustainable manufacturing practices and how to incorporate eco-friendly materials and processes into product development
• are introduced to manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing (3D printing), nanotechnology, and smart materials
• gain skills in cost-benefit analyses of manufacturing processes and material choices
• know about quality control measures and testing protocols
