Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The participants:
• explain the legal and methodological foundations of valuation.
• analyze the key factors influencing property value
• apply the standardized methods of real estate valuation
• determine land value, property yield rate, and remaining useful life on the basis of given data and interpret the results.
• prepare a structured valuation report and justify the chosen methodology comprehensibly to third parties.

Introduction to Real Estate & Facility Management, Real Estate Investment & Financing

Course content

- Fundamentals of valuation, valuation occasions, and legal frameworks
- Overview of valuation guidelines
- Introduction to the comparative, income, and cost approaches
- Data collection and preparation
- Fundamentals of preparing appraisals and structuring a valuation report
- Application of simple valuation examples
- Introduction to valuation software and digital valuation databases
