Prerequisites for the course
Students have prior knowledge in information technology equivalent to 6 ECTS and are therefore familiar with the concept of the relational database and can read simple SQL queries.
Course content
The following topics are covered in the course:
- Design and implementation of problem-centered NoSQL databases (e.g., key-value stores, document stores, column-oriented data stores, etc.)
- Design and implementation of storage solutions for large data volumes (big data)
